Database Specialist

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Database Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have overall 7+ years of experience with 6+ years in database engineering, administration, and support, as well as a minimum of 4+ years specifically in Mysql databases.

The successful candidate will possess expertise in SQL, from evaluation of new frameworks to deployment, maintenance, and performance tuning of clusters. A solid understanding of the SQL and noSQL landscape, including available frameworks, is also essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating and deploying new database frameworks
  • Maintaining and optimizing cluster performance
  • Ensuring data integrity and security
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on database-related projects

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in database engineering, administration, and support
  • 6+ years of experience with Mysql databases
  • Expertise in SQL and noSQL
  • Strong proficiency in Linux and network maintenance
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Perl, Python, Shell)
  • Strong SQL skills and experience
  • Good to have: Proficiency with Elastic and Redis
