About the Role:

A Data Migration Consultant will play a crucial role in streamlining business processes by migrating data efficiently.

  • Expertise in Windchill Bulk Migrator (WBM) is essential, with at least three successful migration projects executed using this tool.
  • Strong knowledge of WBM tool execution, including Extraction, Transformation & Loading, is required.
  • Experience in data migration, particularly CAD data migration, is highly valued.
  • Understanding of Windchill Architecture and database concepts is necessary for success.
  • Object models, relationships, and content knowledge are also vital for effective data mapping.
  • Collaboration with customers to gather migration requirements, analyze source data, and create data maps is an essential part of the role.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Oracle/SQL Server, with experience in large data set analysis, is a must-have.
  • Reviewing existing source systems and datasets, conducting data mapping exercises with subject matter experts, and supporting extraction of data from various sources are key responsibilities.
  • Transforming, loading, and validating data from multiple sources, including Enovia, SAP, UDI Portal, and E-Manual Website, requires strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
  • Validation testing, issue resolution, and update script creation are additional duties that demand attention to detail and technical expertise.
  • Cut-over planning and execution also fall within the scope of this position.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a solid educational foundation, accompanied by relevant work experience in data migration and technical fields.

  • Expertise in Windchill Migration using WBM is paramount.
  • Hands-on experience with data migration, including CAD data migration, is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Windchill Architecture and object models is essential.
  • Scripting knowledge in Oracle/SQL Server, along with proficiency in large data set analysis, is a must.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
