Lead Data Governance Specialist

Join a pioneering team in shaping the future of data governance

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our enterprise-wide data governance initiatives. In this strategic role, you will be the primary authority on data governance within the organization—designing frameworks, driving adoption, and enabling trusted data for analytics, compliance, and AI initiatives.

This is a high-visibility opportunity to define and scale data governance practices, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and influence data culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data governance strategy.
  • Design and configure data governance frameworks and workflows.
  • Build and optimize custom workflows using BPMN and Workflow Designer.
  • Integrate data governance platforms via APIs/connectors.
  • Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and leadership to enforce governance policies and data stewardship models.
  • Establish frameworks for data cataloging, lineage, metadata, and quality management.
  • Provide training, mentorship, and best practices to business and technical teams.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with data governance platforms, including configuration, workflow design, and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks, stewardship, and lifecycle management.
  • Expertise with data governance APIs, BPMN, and scripting.
  • Experience with data catalog, business glossary, and lineage in data governance platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Professional certifications in data governance strongly preferred.
