Job Title:

Technical Superintendent - Ship Operations


At our esteemed organization, we seek a seasoned Technical Superintendent to oversee the operational and technical aspects of assigned vessels. This position requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of maritime regulations, and the ability to effectively manage budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned vessels in compliance with international regulations and company standards.
  • Conduct regular technical inspections to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive maintenance plans, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Monitor vessel performance, track expenditures, and analyze variances to optimize operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of marine engineering experience, with at least 2-3 years in a senior role or as a Chief/2nd Engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of shipboard machinery, operations, and international maritime compliance.
  • Prior hands-on experience in dry-docking, maintenance planning, and budgeting.
  • Familiarity with planned maintenance systems (PMS) and ERP/technical fleet systems.
