Job Description

As a skilled Cloud Engineer, you will design, implement and maintain client cloud solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform.

This role requires a strong understanding of cloud architecture, security and operational best practices. Our clients span various industries, including distribution, manufacturing, primary produce, energy sector, resourcing, healthcare and finance, with project needs varying from software configuration to custom software development.

  • Design and deploy scalable, secure and highly available cloud infrastructure on Azure.
  • Implement Azure services, including Virtual Machines, App Services, Kubernetes Service and Storage accounts.
  • Monitor cloud performance, ensuring optimal system operation.
  • Optimise cloud resources to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code using tools like ARM templates, Terraform or Bicep.
  • Automate deployments and workflows using Azure DevOps, PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Implement robust cloud security measures, including Azure Security Center, Sentinel and Key Vault.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues.

You will work closely with developers, architects and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions, staying updated with the latest Azure services and industry best practices. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is required, along with 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services and proven track record of designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Azure core services, proficiency in scripting and automation, experience with DevOps tools and familiarity with containerisation and orchestration. Microsoft certification in Azure Administration, Solutions Architecture or DevOps is preferred but not essential.
