Job Title: Automation Expert for Commissioning & Process Controls

A career opportunity is available for a highly skilled Automation Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our organization.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Minimum 8–10 years of experience in automation engineering and commissioning.
  • Ability to travel up to ~50% annually for project sites.
  • Comfortable with hands-on field work and willingness to adapt to new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using PLC programming languages (Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram).
  • Implement PID control strategies and loop tuning techniques for process optimization.
  • Work with communication protocols such as Modbus, CC-Link, RS-232, Ethernet TCP/IP, Wireless, IoT, and MQTT.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare IO lists and review documentation.
  • Develop SCADA/HMI applications and panel engineering knowledge for effective control systems.

Instrumentation & Electrical Knowledge:

  • Thermocouple, pressure, and level transmitters/switches.
  • Proximity sensors, modulating valves, and instrument/electrical earthing.
  • Power earthing and familiarity with safety systems (SIL, interlocks).

Site & Field Experience:

  • Site commissioning experience with a focus on efficient setup and termination.
  • Hands-on panel wiring and termination skills with a willingness for physical work during setup.
  • Experience with multi-site execution and teamwork.

Project & Managerial Capability:

  • Manage teams and technicians to deliver industrial automation projects.
  • Coordinate vendor procurement and manage ownership of project deliverables.

Documentation & Communication:

  • Functional design specification (FDS) and IO documentation.
  • Wiring diagrams, control panel layout, and GA reviews.
  • Effective reporting, email, and team communication.
  • Exposure to remote diagnostics/cloud integration.
