Key Responsibilities include:

  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of Windows Server environments.
  • Management of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and File/Print Services.
  • Monitoring server performance, availability and security using tools like System Center, Nagios, or SolarWinds.
  • Application of system patches, updates and firmware upgrades regularly.
  • Backup and disaster recovery operations using tools like Veeam, Commvault, or Windows Backup.
  • Maintenance of server and data center documentation including asset inventory and network topology.
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software and network-related server issues.
  • Management of virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Compliance with IT policies and security standards.
  • Cross-functional support with application and network teams.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Windows server administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with server hardware, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and change management processes.

Desirable Skills:

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, MCSA, or MCSE.
  • Experience with Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), or Intune.
  • Familiarity with security hardening and compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills.
