Job Description

The role of Cybersecurity Expert is to safeguard sensitive data, ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, and strengthen the security posture of our healthcare insurance ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and technologies, along with excellent communication and leadership skills to drive security initiatives forward.

This includes developing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy, frameworks, and controls. Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to cyber threats and incidents using SIEM and SOC processes.

Key responsibilities include conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing (VAPT), red/blue/purple team exercises, performing digital forensics, root cause analysis, and incident response lifecycle management. The successful candidate will also define and enforce policies for data privacy, identity & access management (IAM/PAM), and DLP.

Other key responsibilities include securing infrastructure across network, endpoint, application, database, and cloud environments, implementing security controls for cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and managing and tuning security tools such as firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, CASB, and DDoS protection.

The ideal candidate will work closely with DevOps teams to embed security in CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps practices). They will also ensure compliance with IRDAI, RBI, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, and SOC2. Furthermore, they will conduct third-party/vendor risk assessments and ensure supply chain security, lead business continuity & disaster recovery (BCP/DR) from a security standpoint, and drive security awareness programs for employees and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills are required for this role. Excellent communication skills are necessary to interact with business and technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have the ability to handle high-pressure security incidents and provide timely resolution. Leadership capability is also essential for senior roles (mentoring SOC teams, driving projects).

Technical skills required include core security areas such as network security, endpoint security, application security, cloud security, identity & access management, data protection, security operations, threat & vulnerability management, incident response & forensics, DevSecOps, and governance, risk & compliance (GRC).

A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information security, or related discipline is preferred. Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CEH, OSCP, OSWE, GPEN, CCSP, CCSK, AZ-500, AWS Security Specialty, and ISO 27001 LA/LI are also highly valued.
