Job Title: Network Solutions Architect

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with product teams and vendors to develop accurate and technically sound network solutions.

About the Role:

  • Participate in RFP/RFI processes and develop bespoke solutions in collaboration with product teams/vendors
  • Coordinate and oversee third-party providers for solution components
  • Assess and understand client business requirements, translating and recording into formal network solution requirements
  • Develop convincing solution strategies regarding current, intermediate, and future modes of operations
  • Design and develop end-to-end network solution designs to meet agreed network solution requirements
  • Participate in due diligence meetings with customers to gather information on proposals/information requests and environments
  • Successfully defend proposed techno-commercial solutions as part of the pre-sales process
  • Prepare proposal documents, including proposals, pricing sheets, solution presentations against RFP's/RFI's
  • Understand new data technologies/products and position them in relevant solution proposals
  • Keep up-to-date with latest products features, licensing, architecture, and prices

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of various areas under the network domain
  • Data Center LAN technologies and platforms
  • Data center design and solution
  • Cisco ACI SDN architecture
  • Wide Area Network technologies
  • WAN connectivity architecture and solution
  • SD-WAN Solutions from cloud providers such as Viptela, Velo, Silverpeak, Fortinet, Palo Alto
  • Datacenter Networking - SDN/ACI
  • Campus LAN and SDA
  • TCP/IP protocol suite
  • Application protocols - HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL
  • Wireless Networking on platforms like Meraki, Cisco, Aruba
  • Routing Protocols OSPF, EIGRP, BGP
  • Switching L2 and L3 LAN switching technologies, VLANs, IEEE802.1Q Trunking, EtherChannel
  • DHCP and DNS
  • Certification: CCNP desired, CCNA mandatory

Personal Attributes:

  • Excellent stakeholder management, leadership, strategic planning, and business acumen
  • Experience in consulting with RFIs and RFPs
  • Experience within Network presales and/or architecture roles
  • Strong client-facing presentation skills and ability to explain technical solutions, business value, and defend the solution on the customer's level
  • Ability to drive workshops
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Strong English language skill, both verbal and written

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Cisco SD-WAN, Cisco SDA, and Cisco ACI, with the ability to create Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Familiarity with Fortinet, Versa, HP, Juniper, and automation tools such as Python and Ansible is advantageous
