Cloud Solutions Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Solutions Architect to spearhead our digital transformation. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable cloud-based solutions to complex business problems.

About the Role:

  • Be involved in the cloud architecture design process, from conceptualization through implementation and deployment
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement cloud-based solutions to business needs
  • Develop robust cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, S3, and RDS
  • Create secure and reliable APIs and microservices using serverless technologies like Lambda and API Gateway
  • Leverage our elastic cloud infrastructure to drive innovation and growth
  • We have an emphasis on software quality and writing maintainable code using Agile methodologies, Continuous Integration and Delivery, and DevOps practices
  • You build it, you run it
  • Establish best practices and ensure we are following best practices in adoption and implementation

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Maths, Physics or related field
  • Experience building and maintaining cloud-based applications
  • Fluent with TypeScript / JavaScript and experience building modern JavaScript component applications
  • Deep understanding of ReactJS and React Native
  • Experience with GraphQL preferred but not essential
  • Fluent with Kotlin, Java or Scala
  • Solid experience in back-end development
  • Experience collaborating on software projects with design and backend aspects
  • Experience with iterative delivery, driven by customer feedback and data insights
  • Work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
