Network Security Specialist

This is a challenging and rewarding position for an experienced IT professional who can provide technical support to our team and investigate security incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support:
- Provide analytical feedback to the L1 Team and assist with resolving technical issues.
- Incident Investigation:
- Investigate security incidents, collect evidence, diagnose issues, and recover systems within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Information Security:
- Understand information security policies and best practices in our environments.
- Communication:
- Inform management of proactive and reactive actions taken to ensure adherence to security policy.
- Monitoring and Analysis:
- Review and understand collected metrics from monitoring systems and be aware of patterns and anomalies.
- Incident Response:
- Perform incident response activities with a focus on eliminating threats to the network and determining the cause of security incidents while preserving evidence for further analysis.
- Consistency and Monitoring:
- Ensure that incidents are handled consistently with established playbooks and monitor SIEM and logging for alerts of potential network threats, intrusions, and/or compromises.
- Threat Intelligence and Assistance:
- Understand the global threat environment and general security best practices, and assist with triage of service requests from automated sensors and internal requests for assistance.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Interface with technical personnel from various disciplines to rapidly resolve critical issues and inform leadership of incidents, proposing effective response and/or countermeasures for containment.
