Our Global Capability Centre (GCC) in India was established in 2020 as a 100% subsidiary of MUFG Bank Ltd. It has offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. Our GCC provides support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/AML, Credit, Operations etc. to our bank offices globally.

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious credit analyst to cover a varied portfolio across the EMEA region. As a Corporate Credit Analyst, you will work closely with our GCIB bankers, Product partners and Credit approvers to promote an optimal risk / return on our lending opportunities. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a portfolio of EMEA Corporate clients and undertaking objective detailed due diligence of borrowers / industry.
  • Managing end-to-end annual renewal of limits and borrower ratings as per our Banks credit processes and procedures collaborating with other stakeholders (Relationship Managers, Product teams and Credit Officers / Approvers).
  • Covenant checks and periodic monitoring reports.
  • Preparation of periodic sector reports and event-based stress tests of the portfolio as necessary.
  • Supporting Relationship Managers / Senior Credit Analysts in the department on ad-hoc requests related to new transactions or other portfolio reviews.
  • Audit management – Internal, External including regulatory inspections.

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Extensive experience in fundamental corporate analysis gained in either a bank (or their a Global Capability Centre), asset manager or rating agency environment.
  • There should be an emphasis on credit analysis in the context of a transaction or event, or a strong motivation to move into a more transaction driven environment.
  • Minimum experience of 7-8 years after Post Graduation (CA/CFA/MBA Finance or their equivalents).

Functional / Technical Competencies

You will need:
  • Experience of covering EMEA Large Corporates.
  • A good understanding of loan documentation and key credit protections.
  • Understanding of market risk and ISDA documents would be preferred/beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg/CapIQ and similar systems.
