Job Title: Financial Manager

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to expand their responsibilities by demonstrating consistent and reliable performance in managing financial data.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate and timely general ledger entries in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Manage the daily accounting inbox and ensure prompt responses to employee, vendor, and customer inquiries.
  • Code vendor invoices and schedule payments for efficient cash flow management.
  • Review payroll reports and prepare journal entries for accurate financial records.
  • Process and record bank transactions to maintain a precise financial picture.
  • Generate customer invoices and process payments to meet revenue targets.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts such as cash, prepaid, accruals, capital assets, and deferred revenue.
  • Understand and project cash timing differences between financial statements to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and analyze excel files to provide insights on general ledger data, payroll, revenue, and other key metrics.
  • Respond to employee, vendor, and customer queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Support annual tax preparation and GAAP audit processes to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Assist with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis to inform strategic business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or a similar field with 2-3 years of experience in financial management.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge and application of US GAAP principles.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working through ambiguity.
  • Detail-focused and organized in nature.
