About the Team
Our team is responsible for developing the SAP SuccessFactors Mobile app, which provides employees with real-time access to HR processes and tasks. As an Android engineer, you will work closely with the product and design teams to deliver a high-quality Android experience for SAP SuccessFactors.
What You Will Do
As an Android engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with the product and design teams to deliver the next-generation Android experience for SAP SuccessFactors
- Contributing to the development of high-quality Android native applications
- Sharing your expertise and knowledge with team members
- Ensuring code quality through unit and component testing
- Ensuring product accessibility through adherence to general accessibility guidelines
What You Bring
To be successful in this role, you will need to bring the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
- 4+ years of experience in Android application development
- Expert knowledge of computer science or related field, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Experience with Kotlin, Java, Gradle, Android Native development
- Experience with networking, persistency, multithreading, performance, RESTful APIs, Git
- Experience in unit testing, Mobile Automation Test, and CI/CD for Mobile
- Ability to understand complex UI problem scenarios and propose solutions
- Ability to communicate effectively with other team members
- Passion for developing cool UIs and a self-starter
- Knowledge of implementing mobile-accessible applications
Nice to Have
The following skills and experience are highly desirable:
- Proof of work (e.g., open-source contributions in GitHub) or worked on high-grade public apps
- Working knowledge of Android security, including but not limited to Obfuscation, Secure Storage, Cryptography, Authentication, and Session Management
- Experience in developing in other areas besides Android, including but not limited to iOS, Ruby, and HTML5
- Experience with cloud applications and understanding of the cloud operation model
