Job Title: HPC Expert

As a High-Performance Computing (HPC) expert, you will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of large-scale computing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration and optimization of HPC clusters
  • Management of user accounts for onboarding and offboarding
  • Creation and maintenance of AMI images in AWS accounts
  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Linux operating systems on HPC clusters
  • Support of HPC components and native services by coordinating with respective providers
  • AWS Managed Active Directory support and management
  • Continuous upgrades to the HPC platform and related components - OS, Java, Python, etc.
  • Implementation and maintenance of compliance controls, including US Export Control and confidentiality agreements
  • Collaboration with other teams in testing and migrating/installing engineering applications
  • Management of job schedulers such as Slurm or LSF
  • Utilization of node provisioning tools like Werewolf
  • Troubleshooting of system issues and provision of technical support
  • Monitoring of system performance and optimization of the HPC environment
Requirements:
  • Progressive experience in HPC system administration, preferably in a Redhat/CentOS Linux environment
  • Knowledge of AWS Cloud formation templates for building infrastructure for HPC and storage Amazon FSx for Netapp and Lustre
