Job Description
Flood hazard modeling is a critical aspect of risk management, and our team is seeking a talented Research Engineer Ii to join our effort. As a key member of the extreme event solutions team, you will be responsible for developing probabilistic flood hazard models for various countries.

The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in stochastic and catchment hydrology and open channel flow. Experience with hydrologic modeling in a probabilistic framework, Monte-Carlo simulations, and working with existing hydrologic and hydraulic models (e.g., HEC series models) is also essential. Additionally, you should be proficient in programming languages such as R, Python, MATLAB, and C/C++, as well as have experience with GIS applications preferably ArcGIS.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Master's degree in Water Resources Engineering or Hydrology/Hydraulics-related fields
- 2-4 years of total experience
- Strong fundamentals in stochastic and catchdown hydrology and open channel flow
- Experience with hydrologic modeling in a probabilistic framework
- Monte-Carlo simulations
- Experience with existing hydrologic and hydraulic models (e.g., HEC series models)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, MATLAB, and C/C++
