Technical Professional Wanted

  • We're seeking an experienced engineer to help develop scalable systems that are reliable, efficient and easy to maintain.

This role requires someone skilled in cloud-native design, legacy maintenance, and SRE best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of monitoring and alerting, with a focus on performance monitoring and tracing instrumentation, as well as SLI/SLO/SLAs.

About the Role

  • This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team and contribute to both platform and software codebases.
  • The Observability team works closely with Tech teams to ensure platforms and services are production-ready.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable systems, collaborating with development teams to consider aspects such as fault tolerance, availability, and performance.
  • Influence the design and architecture of our system, maintaining critical pieces of Legacy Tools.
  • Collaborate with development teams to optimize and develop repeatable systems for both sides to leverage each other.
  • Help service owners set realistic Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and error budgets, ensuring production services have reliability built into their design.
  • Provide production support and solve challenging engineering problems across our stack.
  • Automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
  • Mentor new hires and other engineers by example, tech talks, paired programming, and other avenues to increase technical efficiency.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working in a DevOps or SRE role, or software development, with an understanding of Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Experience with cloud platforms GCP, AWS, Azure, and containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills across engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders alike.
