Job Description:

As a seasoned Finance Professional, you will play a pivotal role in leading our finance operations in India. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee day-to-day finance activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, accounts, and reports.

You will be responsible for creating and managing monthly MIS reports, including P&L, cash flow, and budget vs. actuals. These reports will provide timely insights to leadership, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.

Maintaining up-to-date bookkeeping, compliance, and documentation aligned with statutory regulations is also a key aspect of this role. You will lead and mentor a small finance team, ensuring deliverables are accurate, timely, and aligned with organizational needs.

Furthermore, you will support leadership with financial reporting, analysis, and insights to aid decision-making and investor communications. Tracking and reporting financial and operational KPIs will also be part of your responsibilities, ensuring visibility across functions.

Additionally, you will partner with cross-functional teams (sourcing, QA, logistics, warehousing, tech) to align financial processes with business goals. Managing statutory compliance in India and supporting UK compliance in collaboration with external advisors is also an essential part of this role.

Assisting in preparing investor reports, forecasts, and financial models to support fundraising and growth planning will be another critical task. Working on process improvements in bookkeeping, MIS, compliance, and financial planning to ensure scalability will also be a key responsibility.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing, ideally within a fast-growing or dynamic environment.
  • Strong collaborator, with the ability to work closely with key stakeholders across various departments to ensure financial alignment and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for presenting complex financial information to investors, auditors, and internal teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining the integrity of financial records and reports.
