Business Intelligence Test Data Specialist

The role of Test Data Engineer - Business Intelligence is to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for data platforms, ensuring high-quality deliverables. This includes designing and building automated data tests using SQL assertions and expectations, as well as regression packs for DAX/measures and dataset-level contracts.
Key Responsibilities:Develop test data design plans, including data transformation accuracy, reconciliation, security, lineage, performance, and accessibility.
Execute system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT), manage defects, and validate deployment pipelines and release readiness.
Design and build automated data tests using SQL assertions and expectations, as well as regression packs for DAX/measures and dataset-level contracts.
Leverage Power Platform tools where appropriate, such as Power Automate for defect routing and alerts.
Minimum 5 years of experience in testing data/BI platforms with strong SQL and test data design skills.
Experience with test management/reporting tools and understanding of privacy and access controls.
Great Expectations or similar performance testing tools.
