Commercial Accountant Job Description

Job Summary:

As a Commercial Accountant, you will provide financial support to the customer care group and coordinate with core support functions. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive AR disputes along with Project Manager/Collectors
  • Ensure all approvals like finance approval on credit hold and NRDC are in place before shipment
  • Verify that tax charged is as per customer's PO
  • Review documents required proactively for all orders to be shipped in a particular month
  • Ensure compliance to Indian government laws, statutory or customer-specific guidelines
  • Manage a team and ensure everyone follows guidelines
  • Coordinate with all customers

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Commerce with more than 12 years of experience in related commercial accountants
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong management skills with excellent communication skills, managing a team of 6-8 members
  • Working knowledge of JDE/Oracle and MS Office
  • Knowledge of audit requirements, internal & external

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Commerce
