Accounts Payable Specialist

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable specialist to manage our vendor invoices, payments, and reconciliations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable within the U.S. market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and process vendor invoices accurately and on time, ensuring proper approvals and adherence to policies.
  • Manage and process payments to vendors according to terms and schedules, and reconcile payments with vendor statements.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts payable ledger to the general ledger, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Communicate regularly with vendors to resolve payment inquiries, disputes, and other account-related issues.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate records for sales tax and 1099 reporting, adhering to U.S. tax laws.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in an accounts payable or related finance role, with a strong understanding of U.S. accounting principles.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software - QuickBooks.
  • Knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
