About the Position

We are seeking an expert in cloud solutions to lead our Cloud Center of Excellence environment using AWS technologies. The successful candidate will design, implement, and optimize our cloud infrastructure for security, scalability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots and resolves AWS service issues across development, testing, and production environments
  • Manages AWS services, working with internal teams as required to ensure system availability meets project requirements
  • Designs, builds, and deploys cloud solutions using various cloud services and platforms (AWS)
  • Provides guidance and technical expertise on cloud adoption, migration, and optimization
  • Develops scripts to automate systems administration and monitoring activities
  • Supports AWS-related issues, monitors solutions, and implements appropriate strategies to eliminate performance bottlenecks
  • Collaborates with Infrastructure and Product teams on issues related to AWS design and architecture and assists with Proof-of-Concept development and testing
  • Works with peers to define and characterize complex technology or process problems and develop & implement new solutions
  • Assists with the development of Operations white papers, proposals, and other documentation
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or equivalent AWS Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience

Skills and Qualifications

  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, AWS SysOps Administrator Certification, Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or equivalent AWS Cloud Engineering/Architecture experience
  • 3+ years of AWS administration experience, including API Gateway, S3, ECS, EKS, Fargate, EC2, Lambda, WAF, and CloudTrail
  • 3+ years deploying Infrastructure as Code using tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing AWS solutions
  • Experience with cloud architecture patterns, design principles, and best practices
  • Intermediate networking concepts (routing, switching, firewalls, etc.)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause-analysis skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows and Linux server technologies
  • Experience working with third-party service providers
  • Ability to plan and implement change for enterprise systems and adhere to standard change management processes

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in an outsourced/managed services environment with some client-facing responsibilities
  • Familiarity with WebLogic or equivalent application server platforms
  • Familiarity with Atlassian (Gerrit, Confluence, Artifactory, Jenkins) and other DevOps tools
  • Strong understanding of Local and Wide area networking technologies
  • Ability to mentor other team members in areas of technical expertise
