Cloud Java Developer

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Java Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in Java development and a strong understanding of cloud-based technologies.

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale cloud-based applications using Java and Spring Boot. They will also be expected to work collaboratively with the product owners, software architects, and other engineers to deliver high-quality products on time.

To succeed in this role, the candidate should have hands-on experience with AWS (or other cloud provider's) technologies such as SQS, DynamoDB, Kinesis/Kafka/Flink. They should also be familiar with Terraform and have experience building scalable systems and services in the cloud.

The ideal candidate will be a team player with a passion for delivering results-driven solutions. They will be comfortable presenting demos of working software and addressing questions about progress. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop large-scale cloud-based applications using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Maintain existing cloud-based applications and ensure they are running smoothly.
  • Work collaboratively with product owners, software architects, and other engineers to deliver high-quality products on time.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improvements in processes and deliverables that increase the effectiveness of the team.
  • Monitor large-scale production applications and have experience with deployment and infrastructure design and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of production-level Java development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS (or other cloud provider's) technologies such as SQS, DynamoDB, Kinesis/Kafka/Flink.
  • Familiarity with Terraform and experience building scalable systems and services in the cloud.
  • Experience working with Spring/Spring-Boot Framework.
  • Experience using design patterns.
  • Experience in building, running, and monitoring SaaS applications at large scale.
  • Experience with multi-repo GIT code bases, REST-based web services, testing frameworks such as Blazemeter, shell scripts, automated CI/CD pipelines.
