Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau professional to oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of our organization's data visualization environment.

This role requires an individual with strong expertise in Tableau Server administration, user security, and performance optimization within Tableau. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring secure and efficient data access, server performance, and user management.

The successful applicant will have a deep understanding of Tableau Server configuration, maintenance, patching, and upgrades, as well as experience in performance tuning, load sources, managing extract and refresh schedules, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall performance and security of our data visualization environment
  • Install, configure, and maintain Tableau Server in multi-environment setups
  • Administer user roles, permissions, and groups, and manage security settings, including SSO and LDAP integration
  • Monitor and optimize server performance to ensure efficient data visualization and fast report load times
  • Connect Tableau to various data sources and perform data integration and management tasks
  • Manage server backups, disaster recovery plans, and perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching and upgrades
  • Provide technical support to Tableau users, including assistance with report publishing and dashboard development

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Tableau administration, including hands-on experience with Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud
  • Strong expertise in Tableau Server configuration, maintenance, patching, and upgrades
  • Proven experience in performance tuning, load sources, managing extract and refresh schedules, and troubleshooting connectivity issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with multi-tenant environments, server clustering, and disaster recovery planning
  • Familiarity with advanced security protocols such as row-level security and role-based access
  • Tableau certification is a plus
