Job Title: Data Engineer with Fabric

Description:

This role is focused on designing, developing and maintaining our data pipelines and infrastructure using Azure Data Factory and Databricks. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the design and implementation of data pipelines to support the ingestion, transformation and movement of data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks to ensure efficient data flow and transformation.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes using Apache Airflow and Talend to support high-performance queries and data storage requirements.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Manage and maintain databases (SQL and NoSQL) to support data warehousing solutions.
  • Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes, pipelines and infrastructure.
  • Identify and resolve issues in data pipelines, data lakes and warehousing solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling, ETL processes and data integration.
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated data services.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, Scala).
  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., MS-SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
