Senior Software Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our team of experts in healthcare data analysis.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in programming languages such as R, SQL, and SAS, with a strong background in statistical methods and database management. They will be responsible for developing complex algorithms, manipulating large datasets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement software solutions to extract insights from large datasets using R, SQL, and SAS programming languages.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to identify business requirements and develop strategies to meet those needs.
  • Develop and maintain databases, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and efficiency.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Expert-level proficiency in R, SQL, and SAS programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, including regression, survival analysis, and machine learning.
  • Experience with database management systems, including design, development, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python or Perl.

Education and Experience:

You should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 7-8 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data analysis and statistical programming.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related field would be an advantage, as would training or experience using the OMOP Common Data Model.
