Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Officer to join our team. As a key member of the medical staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Adopt a professional approach with patients, staff, and visitors
  • Work within your level of experience and competence, and inform the nurse in charge if you are being asked to work outside your competences
  • Provide medical cover, routine and emergency, during hours of duty, and work in conjunction with other RMOs to provide a 24-hour service to the hospital
  • Clerk in and assess urgent admissions as required when the relevant consultant is not immediately available
  • Undertake daily morning and evening ward rounds, ensuring patients are visited where appropriate, and make entries in patient notes as necessary
  • Receive hand-over reports on patients from alternative RMOs and attend ward areas between 7:30 and 9:30 am/pm to enable consultant communication
  • Observe theatre procedures with Consultant and Ward Manager agreement and be available to return to wards and departments if required
