About the Role

We're seeking a highly experienced Senior Technical Consultant to join our team at AHEAD.

As a Senior Technical Consultant, you will leverage your extensive knowledge and experience to design, develop, and deploy solutions for a wide range of technologies. You'll work closely with a collaborative team to lead, mentor, and ensure development efforts are well-documented and delivered with quality.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Participate on project teams to deploy solutions across open-source and cloud technologies.
  2. Architect open-source and cloud-related technology solutions involving challenges such as storage, messaging, streaming, analysis, scalability, development operations, and security.
  3. Participate in pre-sales cycles as a technical expert, assisting Sales, System Engineers, and Professional Services teams to drive open-source and cloud technologies adoption and maturation.
  4. Provide thought leadership to AHEAD and our customers.
  5. Lead customer requirements and design to achieve customer business goals.
  6. Communicate with customers, including senior management, on matters requiring explanation, interpretation, and/or advising.
  7. Lead a team of technical delivery resources.
  8. Lead development and testing activities.
  9. Lead in the architecture and design of complex solutions.
  10. Lead the creation of written deliverables.
  11. Lead client demos and working sessions.
  12. Lead integration design sessions and deployment.
  13. Participate as a technical expert in client workshops.
  14. Influence direct team members and external customers regarding policies, best practices, and procedures.
  15. Achieve high team standards, contributing to the refinement of methodology and best practices to establish quality and effectiveness.
  16. Understand performance, scaling, and functional characteristics of software technologies.
  17. Mentor junior staff and support project leadership.
  18. Obtain and maintain certifications with associated qualifications.
Qualifications

We're looking for individuals with the following qualifications:

  1. At least 5+ years of customer-facing experience.
  2. 3+ years of designing, securing, and deploying large-scale applications and solutions.
  3. Experience with one of the major cloud vendor environments (development, access, migration).
  4. Effective communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present to all levels of the organization.
  5. Subject matter expertise in at least one open-source and cloud technology.
  6. Architect-level development skills in at least one development language (e.g., Java, Python, etc.).
  7. Architect-level development skills in at least one messaging protocol (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ, JMS, etc.).
  8. Strong skills integrating third-party tools and solutions.
  9. Strong project and situational awareness.
  10. Strong attention to detail.
  11. Self-starter.
