Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by enforcing safety rules, improving EHS practices, and managing production teams.
  • Maintain production efficiency by delivering products that meet quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Develop and implement improvement plans to enhance operational and managerial results.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting autonomy, developing team skills, and representing site management.

Environment, Health and Safety

  • Enforce safety protocols, maintain production equipment, and respond to potential risks.
  • Provide safety training to new employees and analyze accidents to implement improvement actions.
  • Communicate safety information, perform regular inspections, and evaluate risks to ensure a safe working environment.

Quality

  • Ensure product quality meets customer requirements by following established procedures and conducting self-inspections.
  • Address rework and non-conformances through problem-solving and tracking eradication.
  • Organize updates to technical work permits and self-inspection validations.

Delivery

  • Drove autonomous teams to meet production planning goals by anticipating problems and implementing corrective actions.

Cost Management

  • Manage monthly costs and optimize resource allocation to achieve productivity and overhead targets.
  • Analyze individual time sheets and participate in process improvements.

Management

  • Lead autonomous teams towards SQCD objectives using visual management and daily meetings.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives by communicating objectives, involving teams, and tracking results.
  • Develop and manage production organization, including planning, manufacturing, testing, logistics, and quality inspection.
  • Deploy industrial strategies aligned with Product Line Management Committee decisions.
  • Participate in investment and budget planning, and actively engage in New Product Introduction processes.
  • Capture Return of Experience (ROE) from shop floor on quality and productivity aspects.
  • Ensure adequate resourcing in terms of number of people and skills.
  • Manage department KPIs and implement APSYS for the Manufacturing domain.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirements

  • Regular B.E. Electrical or Mechanical degree.

Work Experience

  • 5-7 years of experience in relevant areas.

Knowledge and Competencies

  • Awareness of lean manufacturing principles and basics in Supply Chain.

Behavioral Competencies

  • Ability to focus on critical issues.
  • Collaboration with Cross Functional Teams to drive results.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Multi-cultural management and teamwork abilities.
