Optometrist Role

As a key member of our healthcare team, the Optometrist plays a vital role in providing comprehensive eye care services to patients. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Taking patient histories, performing ocular and systemic assessments, and recording relevant data.
  • Conducting vision tests, refractions, and prescribing glasses under the supervision of a consultant optometrist or ophthalmologist.
  • Performing various ophthalmic investigations such as OCT, FFA, Fundus Photography, and LASER.
  • Assisting in LASIK operations, premium IOL/LASIK workups, and training optometry students.
  • Counseling patients on their eye health, conducting follow-up appointments, and participating in community outreach programs.
  • Maintaining accurate records in our electronic medical record system and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained.

Requirements for this position include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Optometry or an equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the field of optometry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with flexibility.
