Job Title: System Infrastructure Specialist

The System Infrastructure Specialist is a crucial role within our organization, responsible for delivering day-to-day support of client networks, servers, and overall infrastructure. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and optimize our clients' IT infrastructure remotely and at customer sites when necessary.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain complex IT projects, including high availability, virtualization, and cloud services.
  • Serve as the escalation point for issues that desktop engineers or helpdesk staff cannot resolve, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to meet customer service-level commitments and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues, both remote and on-premise, to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
  • Represent the company professionally and positively in all interactions with clients.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in administering, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining Windows-based networks and servers.
  • Strong expertise in Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365 administration, and Windows security.
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls and switches from leading manufacturers such as Cisco, SonicWALL, Dell, and Fortinet.
  • Experience working with heavily virtualized environments using VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Familiarity with on-premise and cloud-based backup solutions, as well as cloud-based email systems like O365 and GSuite.
  • Proficiency in MDM solutions, including Intune and Jamf.
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision and possess excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Desirable certifications include CCNA and MSCE, or equivalent network and server experience.
  • Additional technical certifications are highly valued.
