- Crew Support & Training: Provide technical guidance and support to shipboard staff and ensure adequate training on new technologies and regulatory requirements.
- Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular vessel inspections and audits to ensure technical integrity and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
- Incident Investigation: Assist in the investigation of technical incidents and accidents, providing reports and recommendations to prevent recurrence.
- Supply Chain Management: Oversee procurement of spare parts, lubricants, and stores, ensuring cost-effective and timely supply.
Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Chief Engineer (COC Class 1) or equivalent seagoing experience, and at least 7 years of experience in technical management of ships.
