Business Advisory Associate Consultant

We are seeking a skilled Business Advisory Associate Consultant to join our team. This role will involve providing high-quality advisory services to clients, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to address these issues.

As a Business Advisory Associate Consultant, you will be responsible for:

  • Executing client engagements with quality delivery as per client requirements.
  • Reviewing working papers and client folders to suggest ideas on improving engagement productivity and identify opportunities for improving client service.
  • Understanding business and industry issues/trends and identifying areas requiring improvement in the client's business processes.
  • Handling data analytics - Access, ACL etc.
  • Ensuring compliance with engagement plans and internal quality and risk management procedures.
  • Awareness of internal auditing standards issued by IIA and ICAI.
  • Demonstrating an application and solution-based approach to problem-solving technique.
  • Managing engagement budgets and supporting superiors in developing marketing collateral, business proposals, and new solution/methodology development.
  • Developing strong working relationships with clients (process owner/functional heads).
  • Attention to detail and mentoring young interns and analysts within the practice.
  • Contribute to knowledge management sessions within the practice.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  1. Determining that the work delivered is of high quality.
  2. Anticipating and identifying engagement-related risks and escalating issues as appropriate.
  3. Actively establishing client (process owner/functional heads) and internal relationships.
  4. Assisting and sharing knowledge with team members, Seniors, and Managers in developing new methodologies and internal initiatives and participating in performing procedures especially focusing on complex, judgmental, and/or specialized issues.
  5. Working with the team and the client to create plans for accomplishing engagement objectives and a strategy that complies with professional standards and advising clients to understand and manage their business risks and verifying the validity of their business information.
  6. Briefing the engagement team on the client's IA environment and industry IA trends.
  7. Maintaining relationships with client management to manage expectations of service, including work products, timing, and deliverables.
  8. Demonstrating a thorough understanding of compliance, financial, and operational risks along with performing internal control testing, developing internal audit plans, and providing internal audit services on an outsourcing basis.
  9. Assessing internal controls and SOX framework in order to mitigate risk and apply it to client situations.
  10. Bringing and utilizing extensive knowledge of the client's business/industry to identify technological developments and evaluate impacts on the client's business.
  11. Demonstrating excellent project management skills, inspiring teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and using current technology/tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
  12. Understanding EY and its service lines and actively assessing what the firm can deliver to serve clients.
