Automation Specialist Position

We are seeking a seasoned automation specialist to join our team.

  • Total Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of experience is required.
  • Hands-on field work is comfortable.
Core Technical Expertise
  • PLC Programming: Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD).
  • PID Programming & Loop Tuning: Proficiency in these areas is essential.
  • Communication Protocols: Modbus, CC-Link, RS-232, Ethernet TCP/IP, Wireless, IoT.
  • Platforms Used: Mitsubishi, Siemens, Schneider.
  • IO List Preparation & Review: Experience in preparing and reviewing IO lists.
  • SCADA / HMI Development (Preferred): Familiarity with SCADA/HMI development is preferred.
  • Panel Engineering Knowledge: Understanding of panel engineering principles.
Instrumentation & Electrical Know-How
  • Thermocouple, Pressure, and Level Transmitters / Switches: Experience with these types of instruments.
  • Proximity Sensors, Modulating Valves: Familiarity with proximity sensors and modulating valves.
  • Instrumentation & Control Earthing: Knowledge of instrumentation and control earthing practices.
  • Power Earthing: Understanding of power earthing principles.
  • Familiarity with Safety Systems (SIL, interlocks) – Preferred: Familiarity with safety systems, including SIL and interlocks, is preferred.
Site & Field Experience
  • Site Commissioning Experience: Hands-on experience with site commissioning.
  • Panel Wiring, Termination (Hands-on): Comfortable with hands-on panel wiring and termination.
  • Willingness for Physical Work During Setup: Willingness to perform physical work during setup.
  • Experience in Multi-Site Execution: Experience executing projects at multiple sites.
Project & Managerial Capability
  • Managed Teams / Technicians: Experience managing teams and technicians.
  • Hands-on with Industrial Automation Projects: Hands-on experience with industrial automation projects.
  • Vendor Coordination & Procurement Knowledge: Understanding of vendor coordination and procurement processes.
  • Ownership of Deliverables in Projects: Ownership of deliverables in projects.
Documentation & Communication
  • Functional Design Specification (FDS): Creation of functional design specifications.
  • IO Documentation, Wiring Diagrams: Development of IO documentation and wiring diagrams.
  • Control Panel Layout / GA Review: Review of control panel layouts and general arrangements.
  • Reporting, Email & Team Communication: Effective reporting, email, and team communication skills.
  • Exposure to Remote Diagnostics / Cloud Integration (Preferred): Familiarity with remote diagnostics and cloud integration is preferred.
