Job Title:

Structural Site Manager

About the Role:
  • Provide technical support and review contractor's coordinated shop drawings against IFC drawings for design compliance, ensuring construction progress and quality are maintained.
  • Review contractor/subcontractor calculations for permanent works and structural connections per design specifications, providing expert technical guidance on building structures.
  • Review subcontractor structural/civil shop drawings in coordination with building services engineers for proper engineering alignment, verifying compliance with design specifications.
  • Review subcontractor method statements, test results, and material submittals for new or remedial permanent works, assessing appropriateness against specified technical performance requirements.
  • Assess subcontractor material proposals against specified technical performance requirements and advise on appropriateness, supporting design teams with site insights for updating technical specifications.
  • Attend project meetings related to structural/civil technical items, coordinating with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Review compliance against design subcontractors technical requirements, responding to RFIs in consultation with design teams.
  • Write site visit reports and maintain logs of work progress/issues, supporting project managers with relevant information.
  • Support design teams with site insights for updating technical specifications, visiting multiple sites and acting as an ambassador during site and client meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Advisory: Provide expert technical guidance on building structures and construction processes, reviewing and approving contractor/subcontractor shop drawings and calculations against design specifications.
  • Design Review: Review and approve contractor/subcontractor shop drawings and calculations against design specifications, ensuring compliance with design specifications and technical performance requirements.
  • Quality Control: Ensure compliance with design specifications and technical performance requirements, verifying appropriateness of materials and methods.
  • Communication: Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution, maintaining effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
