Cloud Native Connectivity Engineer

About the Role:

This pivotal role in our Cloud Native Engineering team requires an individual to help build next-gen digital platforms with a focus on networking, automation, and security.

  • Design and Review System Architectures: Design and review system architectures for reliability, scalability, and security. Ensure alignment with industry best practices and adhere to company standards.
  • Automate Deployment Workflows: Automate deployment, configuration, and operational workflows using Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools. Enhance efficiency and reduce manual errors.
  • Build and Maintain Reliability Tools: Develop and maintain reliability tools and monitoring frameworks to ensure seamless operation of critical systems.
  • Drive Observability and Monitoring: Drive observability and monitoring for critical systems to identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
  • Share On-Call Responsibilities: Share on-call responsibilities, lead incident response, and conduct blameless post-mortems to ensure prompt resolution and knowledge sharing.
  • Ensure Robust Cloud Networking and Security Compliance: Ensure robust cloud networking and security compliance by staying up-to-date with the latest security patches and implementing recommended configurations.

Requirements:

  • Strong Expertise in Cloud Networking and Next-Gen Security: Possess strong expertise in cloud networking and next-generation security concepts, including Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs.
  • Hands-on Experience with Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, CI/CD: Have hands-on experience with Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, and CI/CD tools to automate deployment workflows.
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes, Prometheus, Elastic: Demonstrate proficiency in Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Elastic to drive observability and monitoring.
  • Programming Skills in Python, Bash, Shell: Possess programming skills in Python, Bash, and Shell to develop reliability tools and monitoring frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AWS and Azure: Have familiarity with AWS and Azure (AZ-700/AWS Advanced Networking certification preferred) to ensure robust cloud networking and security compliance.
  • Knowledge of IAM, APIs, and Distributed Systems: Possess knowledge of IAM, APIs, and distributed systems to design and review system architectures.
