Aerospace Quality Specialist

Description:

The position of Aerospace Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and organizational quality standards. This involves performing final product verification, compliance checks, and release activities under delegated authority from customers.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify recurring quality issues and drive root cause analysis. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, customers, and auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform final inspection and acceptance of aircraft engine components prior to shipment.
  • Verify conformity to drawings, specifications, customer contracts, and regulatory requirements.
  • Stamp/approve components under delegated authority for customer acceptance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Metallurgy, or related engineering discipline.
  • AS9100 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor certification (preferred).
  • NADCAP awareness or auditor training.
  • OEM DQR/DSQR/DSCA authorization.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100, AS9110, AS9120 standards.
  • Strong understanding of NADCAP special processes.
  • Excellent interpretation skills of engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with suppliers, customers, and auditors.

Performance Indicators:

  • On-time and defect-free product release.
  • Zero major findings in customer/regulatory audits.
  • Supplier quality improvement metrics.
