A key aspect of this role is conducting regular inspections to monitor staff performance, machinery condition, and adherence to quality standards. Collaborating with quality control teams is also crucial in enforcing quality assurance protocols and continuously improving product standards.
Maintenance and upkeep of equipment and machinery are vital to ensure optimal working conditions and minimize downtime. Additionally, implementing and monitoring safety policies ensures compliance with statutory and industry regulations.
Effective communication and coordination with internal teams are necessary for raw material supply, logistics, and timely delivery of finished goods. Providing regular production performance reports to senior management is also an important responsibility.
Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field, with advanced degrees being preferred. At least 5 years of managerial experience in a factory setting, particularly in machinery manufacturing or metal products, is highly desirable.
Demonstrable career stability and progression in past roles are essential, along with strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills. Proficiency in ERP systems, production management software, and Microsoft Office is also required.
Preferred skills include problem-solving and analytical abilities, flexibility and adaptability in rapidly changing environments, and proven negotiation skills for interacting with suppliers and vendors.
Our ideal candidate will have prior experience in machinery manufacturing, metal fabrication, or related industries, a history of long-term employment and professional advancement, and the ability to mentor and build high-performing teams in a factory environment.
