Job Overview:

The Gitam University Venture Development Centre is seeking a seasoned professional to drive innovation and growth in early-stage ventures. With a strong background in startup or incubation centre experience, this role is ideal for individuals who can mentor and coach entrepreneurs through ideation, product development, and go-to-market strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mentor and coach early-stage entrepreneurs to foster a growth-oriented mindset, providing guidance on business planning, financial management, and customer acquisition.
• Assist startups with the design and development of prototypes, offering practical support and insights to validate concepts and enhance product-market fit.
• Develop and facilitate training sessions and workshops on key entrepreneurial skills, such as business model design, venture growth strategies, and collaboration with ecosystem partners.
• Collaborate with industry experts and investors to create opportunities for startups and provide a network of resources.
• Support the growth of the Venture Development Centre by creating a vibrant, collaborative environment for innovators and entrepreneurs.
• Track and evaluate startup progress, offering constructive feedback and actionable steps for improvement.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Design, or a related field (MBA or additional entrepreneurship certifications are a plus).
• 2-8 years of experience in a startup, incubation centre, or venture development role, with hands-on experience in guiding or coaching startups.
• Strong understanding of prototyping, business model design, and venture growth strategies.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts.

Compensation:

This role comes with an estimated annual salary of $80,000 - $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
