Textile Designer Position

We are seeking a skilled and creative textile designer to fill this key role.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Create original fabric designs, including patterns, prints, and innovative materials.
  • Develop color palettes and experiment with dyeing techniques, laser techniques, and mixing of other materials.
  • Research trends in fashion, textiles, and consumer preferences.
  1. Fabric Design Development
  • Combine artistic skills with technical knowledge to create digital designs for fabric and garments.
  1. Material Selection and Sourcing
  • Choose appropriate fabrics and materials based on design requirements and functionality.
  • Select sustainable or innovative materials when needed.
  1. Technical Skills
  • Utilize software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or CAD to create digital designs.
  • Understand textile production processes, including weaving, knitting, printing, and dyeing.
  1. Collaboration and Communication
  • Work closely with fashion designers, product developers, and manufacturers to ensure designs align with the overall vision.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to understand target audiences and market trends.
  1. Prototyping and Quality Control
  • Develop prototypes and samples to test designs.
  • Evaluate quality and make adjustments as necessary.
  1. Sustainability and Innovation
  • Explore eco-friendly materials and methods.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and innovations in textile design.
Requirements:
  • Creative Skills:
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of color, pattern, and texture.
  • Ability to translate ideas into visually appealing designs.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Proficiency in textile design software (e.g., Adobe Suite, CAD).
  • Understanding of fabric properties, weaving, knitting, and printing techniques.
  • Trend Awareness:
  • Keen eye for fashion and textile trends.
  • Ability to predict and adapt to changing consumer preferences.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to present ideas clearly and receive feedback.
  • Education:
  • A degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is required.
