Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Software Developer to design, develop and maintain cutting-edge geospatial applications.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python and GIS technologies, as well as experience with front-end development and database integration.

  • Develop and maintain complex GIS-based web applications using Python and frameworks like Django or Flask.
  • Design and implement interactive, dynamic GIS maps using libraries such as GeoPandas, Shapely, and Folium.
  • Integrate geospatial data with databases (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS, MySQL, or MongoDB) and RESTful APIs.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate spatial data with front-end and back-end systems, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Better usability through the build of responsive front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and GIS analysts to productionize geospatial models and visualizations.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack, from front-end interfaces to back-end data pipelines.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Geographic Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer with strong proficiency in Python.
  • Expertise in GIS technologies and Python libraries.
  • Experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with database technologies, particularly PostgreSQL with PostGIS for geospatial data.

Preferred Skills:

  • Deployment on cloud platforms for GIS applications.
  • Familiarity with ESRI ArcGIS Suite or QGIS for geospatial analysis.
  • MLOps knowledge for integrating machine learning models with GIS applications.
