Taxation Supervisor

Job Description:

The Taxation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of complex financial services client returns. This includes reviewing Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Fund of Funds to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Additional responsibilities include detailed examination of State returns for financial services clients, analyzing international filing requirements, training new staff members on concepts and technology, and providing timely feedback on reviewed projects.

The Taxation Supervisor will also schedule kick-off calls with clients, facilitate regular connects with US counterparts, and resolve conflicts related to budgeting and resource scheduling.

In this role, you will guide team members on potential tax adjustments due to tax law changes and e-filing validations. You will maintain consistent communication with US counterparts to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.

This position requires a strong ability to conduct independent tax research in unforeseen scenarios. Effective communication skills, fluency in English (written and spoken), and a willingness to learn new tax software are essential.

You will be a quick learner, enthusiastic, positive attitude, and team player with the capacity to work extended hours during peak seasons. Meeting deadlines and adapting work schedules based on project urgency are key skills for this role.

A Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant (US) certification is required for this position, along with experience in detail review of tax returns and proficiency in CCh Axcess Tax, Gofile room, and Case ware software.
