Database Architect Position

We are looking for a highly skilled Database Architect with 12-15 years of experience in database architecture, administration, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB), Data Lakes, and emerging technologies such as Vector Databases and Graph Databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect, design, and implement scalable database solutions using SQL (RDBMS), MongoDB, Vector DBs, and Graph DBs.
  • Develop and maintain data lake architectures to support analytics, AI/ML, and advanced reporting needs.
  • Establish data models, schemas, indexing strategies, and partitioning for performance and scalability.
  • Lead administration of MongoDB clusters, SQL databases, and cloud-native data services.
  • Manage database provisioning, replication, sharding, backup/restore, monitoring, and upgrades.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and governance in multi-environment setups.
  • Drive query tuning, indexing strategies, and workload balancing across heterogeneous databases.
  • Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
  • Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for large-scale data environments.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 12-15 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator and Architect in large-scale environments.
  • Strong expertise in MongoDB architecture & administration (replication, sharding, Atlas).
  • Deep experience with SQL databases (Oracle, MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
  • Strong knowledge of data lake and lakehouse architectures (Delta Lake, Snowflake, or BigQuery).
  • Hands-on experience with Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS, or equivalent).
  • Experience with Graph Databases (Neo4j, TigerGraph, Amazon Neptune, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, indexing, caching, and query optimization.
  • Proficiency in automation, scripting, and DevOps practices for database administration (Python, Shell, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Knowledge of cloud data services (AWS RDS/Redshift, GCP BigQuery, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB).
