Senior Database Architect Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to take on the role of Senior Database Architect. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in database architecture and design to drive scalability, performance, and security in enterprise data solutions.

  • Database Architecture & Design:
  • Design and implement scalable database architectures using SQL, MongoDB, Vector DBs, and Graph DBs.
  • Develop and maintain data lake architectures to support analytics, AI/ML, and advanced reporting needs.
  • Establish data models, schemas, indexing strategies, and partitioning for optimal performance and scalability.
  • Database Administration & Operations:
  • Manage administration of MongoDB clusters, SQL databases, and cloud-native data services.
  • Lead provisioning, replication, sharding, backup/restore, monitoring, and upgrades.
  • Ensure data security, compliance, and governance in multi-environment setups.
  • Performance & Optimization:
  • Drive query tuning, indexing strategies, and workload balancing across heterogeneous databases.
  • Implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
  • Conduct capacity planning and forecasting for large-scale data environments.
  • Advanced Data Platforms:
  • Implement and integrate Vector Databases to support AI/ML-driven search and generative AI applications.
  • Deploy and manage Graph Databases for relationship-driven data use cases.
  • Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data pipelines into data lakes.
  • Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Partner with data scientists, application developers, and cloud engineers to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring junior DBAs, and defining database best practices.
  • Support initiatives in data modernization, AI adoption, and cloud transformation.
