We are seeking a seasoned Survey Engineer to join our team and take on the responsibility of leading our survey operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale projects, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring the execution of works within tight deadlines.

The Survey Engineer is responsible for providing expert-level guidance on all aspects of survey operations, including project execution, data integrity assurance, and collaboration with related disciplines. They will be expected to ensure safe and technical management of geophysical and geotechnical surveys from tendering through to execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project execution lead for individual survey work scopes, including resource allocation, permitting, budget planning, and data management.
  • Geo-data integrity assurance and quality control
  • Survey Subject Matter Expert to related disciplines e.g. T&I, Construction, Operations & Maintenance
  • Ensure accuracy and adequacy of deliverables
  • Work within an integrated geoscience team to acquire and build fit-for-purpose integrated ground models for wind farm engineering
  • Collaborate with, and coordinate safety, consent, and procurement teams to ensure robust execution of works
  • Maintain relationships with third-party suppliers, contractors, and other partners as part of leading long-term performance management and continuous improvement
  • Actively contribute to technology development and to the wider survey, geotechnical, and geophysical communities of practice to share knowledge and findings

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of industry codes and standards
  • Expertise in Project Management of survey operations, including relevant procurement, HSSE, technical-commercial, and schedule management
  • Expertise in off- and on-shore geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental survey execution; including demonstrable offshore experience
  • Expertise in identification, assessment, and management of survey acquisition risks
  • Experience in geotechnical and geophysical data acquisition, QC, processing, interpretation, and reporting
  • Knowledge of Offshore Wind ground engineering activities related to design, analysis, and installation for offshore wind infrastructure (e.g. turbines & transmission system)

  • Ability to manage time effectively, working with distributed teams and time-zones
  • Proven expertise of working in multi-disciplinary teams and major projects with minimal technical supervision
