VMware Administrator Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced VMware administrator to fill a key role within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and maintaining converged infrastructure, with expertise in virtual machine provisioning, SAN infrastructure management, and performance optimization.

  • Provisioning and deploying new virtual machines and applications.
  • Ensuring high uptime and performance characteristics for converged platforms.
  • Troubleshooting issues escalated by the support team and clients.
  • Analyzing monitoring results to recommend improvements to performance, security, and utilization.
  • Planning and recommending infrastructure modifications or additional equipment to increase system capacities.
  • Collaborating with hardware vendors to replace equipment and troubleshoot advanced issues.

Responsibilities:

  1. Day-to-day operation activities, including ticket resolution and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  2. Planning and implementing required changes, raising change requests accordingly.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in VMware administration.
  • Strong knowledge of converged infrastructure, storage, RecoverPoint, UCS, and vCentre.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
