The role of the Account Specialist involves supporting senior finance staff in recording and retrieving financial details, maintaining financial records, bookkeeping, project revenue and cost tracking, cash flow analysis, accounts receivable and payable management, and related management reports.

  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure smooth operation
  • Support on inputting sales- and purchase ledgers from source documents
  • Assist with everyday tasks such as booking, billing actual and forecast
  • Prepare monthly reports, e.g., AR/AP report, profit and loss statement, cash flow forecast
  • Matching invoices to contracts, issue invoices, push collections, output VAT calculation
  • Enter accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy
  • Plan, organize and manage own workload to ensure timely contribution to monthly financial reporting process
  • Project analysis from start to end, review contracts from a financial perspective, simulate project cash flow and P&L, track project status during period and highlight risks
  • Assist with year-end preparation and procedures
  • Support local and group auditors for annual auditing
  • Processing, reconciling statutory reports and management reports
  • Identify and resolve errors and discrepancies in the accounting process
  • Work close with business units and keep close communication with teams
  • Support finance leadership to optimize standard operating procedures and company policies
  • Supervise departmental storage and office supplies
  • Ad-hoc issues required by senior finance staff

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience
  • Experience in ERP-systems is essential
  • Competence in MS Office, especially Microsoft Excel is a must
  • Working experience in the design and construction industry is a plus
  • Basic understanding of accounting processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact and work with other departments
  • Highly organized with knowledge of filing systems
  • Professional, analytical, capable problem solvers and ability to follow instructions
  • Fair ability in spoken and written English
  • Able to manage high volume workloads and meet targets and deadlines
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
