Business Intelligence Analyst Role Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to manage business data systems, generate actionable insights through advanced analysis, and monitor performance metrics across functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and automate business intelligence reports (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).
  • Consolidate financial, operational, and business data into dashboards and presentations for informed decision-making.
  • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of all business intelligence deliverables.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple internal systems and external sources.
  • Perform trend, variance, and root cause analysis on key business performance indicators.
  • Provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders for business growth, cost control, and efficiency improvements.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track business performance against budgets, forecasts, and targets using data-driven metrics.
  • Design and maintain performance scorecards and dashboards for different business functions.
  • Highlight risks, opportunities, and performance gaps proactively to drive strategic decisions.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
  • Suggest and implement automation opportunities using Excel, Power BI, and other tools.
  • Standardize templates, processes, and reports for efficiency and scalability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros), Power BI, and other business intelligence tools.
  • Understanding of financial and operational performance metrics, including KPIs.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills to convey complex information.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Analytics.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, data analytics, or related fields.
  • Experience in the finance or investment industry is a plus.
