Financial Operations Specialist

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

The Financial Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in managing financial operations for both our US headquarters and Indian subsidiary.

  • Managing daily bookkeeping and accounting entries (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations)
  • Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensuring compliance with Indian accounting standards, US GAAP, and internal policies
  • Assisting with GST, TDS, income tax, and ROC filings for the India entity
  • Supporting transfer pricing compliance and related documentation
  • Handling cross-border payments, FEMA compliance, and banking liaison
  • Assisting in consolidation of group accounts
  • Recording, monitoring, and clearing all company expenses
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and budgets
  • Handling employee reimbursements and expense reports
  • Ensuring compliance with Indian statutory requirements including TDS, GST, PF, PT, and other applicable laws
  • Preparing and filing all necessary returns and reports on time
  • Coordinating with external auditors and tax consultants as needed
  • Managing Bill of Entry (BOE) and ORM mapping for import and export transactions
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant import/export regulations
  • Creating and managing Purchase Orders (PO's) and Sales Orders (SO's)

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Supporting statutory and internal audits
  • Assisting in MIS reports for management on a monthly basis
  • Maintaining accurate records for due diligence and fundraising-related requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Professional qualification preferred: CA Inter
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance
  • Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards
  • Familiarity with TDS, GST, PF, PT, and other Indian statutory requirements
  • Familiarity with US GAAP is a plus
  • Proficient in Zoho books and MS Office Suite
