About a physiotherapist's role

The ideal candidate will work closely with students who have learning difficulties.

Exceptional patience, empathy, and interpersonal skills are essential for this position, as you will work with students, their families, and other health professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for children with various needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other health professionals.
  • Deliver tailored physiotherapy sessions to each child's developmental level and physical needs.
  • Provide support for physical access and mobility within the school environment.
  • Monitor progress and update care plans accordingly.
  • Support pupils with postural management programs, mobility aids, orthotics, and safe handling strategies.
  • Work closely with teaching staff and other health professionals.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-7 years of experience working with children and adults with multiple disabilities.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc) and HCPC registration.
  • Manual Handling and Safeguarding Children.
  • Knowledge of conditions affecting motor development and experience with specialist equipment.
